Opal & Bliss
Brand Identity ✦ Website Design ✦ Product Page Design
Opal & Bliss is a skin care brand that has a line of products that can fit anyone’s skin care needs. All products have been dermatologist approved, along with using organic ingredients to help benefit the skin.
Opal & Bliss came to mind when I was looking on Pinterest, and noticed a lot of early 70’s to early 80’s interior designs and there were always these vibrant colours around - something that we do lack in a lot of product design in today’s world. I thought that it would be nice to see those colours elsewhere rather than just clothes and/or furniture. I was also really drawn to doing a skincare line as I wanted to work with mockups, from there: Opal & Bliss was a thing!
Brand Identity
Making sure to keep a vibrant yet captivating colour scheme, especially to the viewers eye, I kept it light. I didn’t want to add too much red’s or pink’s so I wanted to calm it down with an olive green. I also wanted to do some sort of funky text along with the colour scheme. Main font is used for the ampersand, while the secondary font is used for the main logo’s words.
Website
Design
Keeping up with the rather ‘funky’ feel of Opal & Bliss. I decided to create a website.
Here is what the user sees first thing as they load the website.
I still wanted to draw the audience in, so I made sure to do it minimal but also noticeable with the colours, and different shapes throughout. The user is greeted with a ‘Shop New Products’ button, this showing the product pages I have designed down below.
Scrolling down, the user is then greeted with the top sellers that Opal and Bliss have to offer, along with an about the company. Each product does have its own product page.
Then at the bottom is the contact section, any questions or concerns, Opal and Bliss are here to help. It also includes their socials if needed.
Product Page Design
Staying with the theme, each product page is tailored to that specific product. The user can change the product by clicking the arrows to go back or forth. Each product has its own description, including if it’s a best seller, new, or a customers favourite. At the bottom of the descriptions, they do have points about each product including skin type, paraben-free, no harsh ingredients. It also lists what main ingredient is in the product that can benefit the customer.
